Then There Were Two
(one female, Blue, and one male, Stud-Muffin, remain)

Last Friday, a beautiful family from Wilmington made a 3.5 hour drive to North Durham Co. The four children ages 4-9 came across the front yard, as I coralled the mama, and papa dogs, and three pups near the gate in the backyard.

They watched big Bart jumping up and down excitedly, as Millie did some of her barking.  Blue, who was used to being the center of attention was now going to play third fiddle, because these nice people had made the drive for a male.

The dad wanted the children to chose, and the process involved the puppies chasing the 5 year old boy around us excitedly. He laughed and grinned ear to ear, half nervous, but having the time of his life. The two male pups were too darn cute, and too sweet.  The baby-dog looks of Stud-Muffin almost won out over the larger Rambone, but they came to agreement, and the winner was Rambone.

Rambone's forever home is just across the street from the ocean, with a dad that does some running, and little girls, and a boy that will probably smother him --that would be my dream if I were him. He definitely seems a lucky dog.

Stud Muffin currently has two people interested in him.  Someone from coastal SC, and a guy from Lexington, NC, who might swing bye to see him on his way back from a fishing trip -- also in Wilmington.

Upon request, these are some picks of the now 17 lb Stud-Muffin from this evening 9/29/14.

Puppy Trio Waiting for Re-homing

The crew of Rambone, Stud Muffin, and Blue, continue to chill in North Durham Co.
The blue-collared female is probably the most rambunctious of the lot, with Rambone (the bigger male) pretty much letting her have her way.  Stud Muffin, is still the little man.  Sometimes when the play gets rough, he'll seek out the people, for some lap-time and petting.  They're paper training in the pen, but really want to take care of most business outside.  They do have a blast, and now can pretty much keep up with people running --though I can still run 3-4 circles around them before getting tired and dizzy.

These are some pics from early evening on 9/15:

And then there were 3 (2 females re-homed)

This weekend:  (names withheld to protect puppy privacy)
Pink Collared Girl (AKA Wavy Girl) found her forever home with a really nice family.  She was carried away, snuggled like a baby. Her new name is Dahlia (after the flower). She's graduated to big flowered collar and another yard with lush green grass.  We're sure she'll get lots of love. There are two teenagers in the mix, and while they're probably past teddy bears, this pup is sure to steal their hearts.

Rainbow Collared Girl (AKA Big Girl) found her forever home as well. She's with loving grandparents, who seem like true "Dog People" with 7 grandchildren ranging from 3 months old to 13yrs.  We hear the 13 year old is like "the Dog Whisperer" and that this puppy will live like royalty with deli cold cuts and eggs. There's also an older dog in the mix yearning for company. Best wishes to Pink, and Rainbow.

Blue Collared Girl,  Rambone, and Stud Muffin have a little more room, but still have their starter home, parent dogs and first people family.
